Susan’s work usually features Australian native plants, particularly banksias. Printing techniques, copious machine quilting and   use of colour are hallmarks of her work. The many awards Susan has received include the Inaugural Australian National Quilt Award in 2001; Best Use of Colour, World Quilt Competition USA 2018; Major Prize One Step Further 2013; Award for Best Machine Workmanship, World Quilt Competition USA 2014 and three Best of Show Awards in state guild exhibitions.
The acquisition of her work for the collections of Australian Quilt and Textile  Collection, the Wangaratta Gallery Vic and Central Goldfields Gallery, Maryborough, Victoria are proud achievements.
