Colour Scheming

TUTOR: SHARON NICHOLLS-THOMSON

Quilters are pretty much always working with colour – it’s one of the things that attracts us to fabric! Plenty of us worry about our choices. Will the colours work together? Will they have the desired effect? Will people find my choices strange? In this skill building class we will learn three key ‘go-to’ methods to design a colour scheme for any project. These methods will make your work pop and help express your ideas.

You’ll leave with a bunch of unique-to-you, ready-to-go colour palettes to employ in your next project. You’ll become a confident ‘colour schemer’ with the knowledge and resources needed to do at all again when you’re back at home.

Useful for quilters of all levels who make quilts using traditional patterns or their own designs. Perfect for modern quilters who want to get their colours sorted before embarking on an improv project. Equally suitable for working with solids or prints.
