Orange Sherbet

TUTOR: IRENE BLANCK

In this class Irene will discuss her use of colour and how choosing fabrics for quilts should be a no-brainer and a stress-free activity!!

Students will learn:

Techniques to make prepping your work quick and easy
Using a lightbox effectively to help in speeding up the prep process
Needleturn applique – which need not be difficult
Prepared edge applique using washaway paper
Template applique
Easy peasey stems and circles

Irene will also discuss how to make a scalloped/curvy border, making sure all the stripes on your fabric meet!!

Different techniques for applique are taught. Students will finish at least one block of a quilt.

The expected outcome is that students learn different techniques with applique so that it makes it easier to choose one that they like.
