CAROLINA ONETO, CHILE

Carolina Oneto is a skilled Chilean quilter. Her quilts feature bold colours and dynamic patterns, each telling a unique story. Infusing mathematical concepts into her designs, Carolina adds colour interaction, curves, shapes and movement. She champions creativity through improvisation while maintaining structured discipline. Carolina’s commitment to teaching showcases her dedication to quilting, making her a trusted guide in the craft’s vibrant world.

Carolina has received numerous accolades for her exceptional quilting work spanning from 2017 to 2023. In 2023, she earned Third Place Awards in the Modern Category at both The Festival of Quilts in Birmingham and the International Quilt & Fiber Arts Festival in Washington for her pieces Imaginary Places III and One in Every Four, respectively. Additionally, she received the Best Use of Colour Award in the Mid Century Mod/Modern category at the Pacific International Quilt Festival XXXII for Squares with Concentric Organic Shapes. In previous years, she garnered numerous other awards, reflecting her talent and innovation in the quilting arts.
