CHOOSE YOUR OWN EPP ADVENTURE
TUTOR: LORENA URIARTE
Ready to move beyond precut papers and ready-made EPP patterns? In this hands-on technique class, you’ll learn how to design your own English Paper Piecing (EPP) blocks from scratch and discover just how much is possible with a few simple tools.
We’ll explore three different approaches to EPP design. Stretch, skew and reimagine diamonds, experiment with drafting curved shapes, then create improvised tessellations using interlocking pieces that can be repeated into unique patterns.
You’ll design three unique EPP blocks and begin stitching them during the class. Everyone works at their own pace, so the amount sewn will vary according to individual experience and speed.
You’ll leave with three original designs, new EPP design skills and plenty of ideas to keep experimenting at home.
Skill level: Suitable for confident beginners through to experienced EPP makers. This is a handwork class.
