You’ll learn how to spot fabrics with fussy cutting potential, use mirrors and acrylic templates to audition motifs and position your cuts to create unexpected secondary patterns.

You’ll make a collection of hand stitched EPP hexagons while learning practical tips for accurate cutting, stitching and choosing the tools that make fussy cutting easier and more enjoyable.

Perfect for beginners and experienced EPP makers alike, this is a chance to look at your fabric stash in a whole new way.

Bring your favourite prints and get ready to discover what’s hiding inside them!

Skill level: Suits beginners to advanced. This is a handwork class.

Class Requirements

One-day Class: Thursday, April 15

Class times: 10am to 5pm

Materials fee: $35
Payable direct to the tutor. Please have the exact amount in cash in an envelope with your name on it.

The kit includes:

  • Papers
  • Acrylic template
  • Magic mirrors.
  • Thread
  • Needles
  • Class notes

You will need to bring:

  • Erasable pen or pencil
  • Small rotary cutter & cutting mat
  • Scissors
  • Glue pen eg Sewline
  • Fabric with at least 6 repeats of a motif
