Join Karen for this one-day workshop and learn a number of textural embroidery stitches and techniques to create this sweet drawstring bag, stitched on natural linen. The project also features some beading and simple applique shapes which complement and enhance the design. A small fabric pot of flowers features on the back.
Full stitch guides and instructions will be provided to assist you with completion.
The bag measures 10 x 9.5 x 2 inches.
Skill level: Suits a confident beginner through to advanced stitcher

Class Requirements

One-day Class: Thursday, April 15
Class times: 10am to 5pm
Materials fee: $50
Payable direct to the tutor. Please have the exact amount in cash in an envelope with your name on it.
The kit includes:
- Pattern
- Stitch guides
- Linen
- Ticking
- Liberty and hand dyed accent fabrics
- Threads
- Beads
- Draw cord and handle tape
- Interfacing and needles
You will need to bring:
- Small embroidery scissors
- 2B pencil for notes, additional marking
- Preferred marking tool (eg Clover blue pen)
- Small hoop (optional) 5” to 6”
- Small ruler with ¼” markings (a 2 ½” square or 1” x 6” will work) although there will be some to share
- Small light/magnifier if you usually use one (will need to be battery or rechargeable in the classroom)
