Topics covered include: colour selection, freehand cutting, different ways to assemble pieces from strips, maximising your scraps, and composition guidelines for a harmonious result.
This is a technique class but also a project class.

Class Requirements
IMPROV STRIPS WITH CECILIA KOPPMANN
One-day Class: Friday, April 16
Class times: 10am to 5pm
Materials fee: No fee, no kit supplied
You will need to bring:
- Fabric strips of varied widths and colours, preferably cotton (from ¾” to 4”) plain or small prints.
- Rotary cutter
- Cutting mat
- Pins
- Design wall 40” x 30” (can be a piece of flannel or batting) or use the black classroom walls
- Tape/pins to attach the design wall to the wall
Sewing machines will be provided.
To complete the project at home: you will need batting, backing and binding
