2027 Class – Textile Book

TEXTILE BOOK

TUTOR: AITOR SARAIBA

This creative workshop invites participants to discover the joy of stitching, embroidery and storytelling through thread. Guided by Aitor Saraiba’s illustrations and techniques, each participant will create a handmade textile book, exploring fabric, texture, colour and composition one page at a time. No previous embroidery experience is required.

This is a project-based class focused on creating your own unique handmade textile book.

Participants will be guided using creative techniques for combining fabric, embroidery, stitch, composition and simple bookmaking to create a personal textile object. You will also explore basic book assembly and how to develop a personal visual narrative across multiple pages.

Each participant will complete their own illustrated textile book. The finished piece will bring together embroidery, layered fabrics and personal details in a unique handmade work that can continue to develop at home.

Skill level: All levels. This class is handwork.
