My Italian Job

TUTOR: MICHELLE MARVIG

This design is based on the traditional Endless Chain hexagonal block but looks nothing like the original. Where does one block start and the next finish? Students will use templates to cut out the shapes, and ombre the coloured fabrics throughout the black and white tri-stars that are formed.

The black and white features fussy cutting and using stripes in different directions for great effect. The quilt is machine pieced, with some applique finishes. There are 53 different versions of the blocks, the class will work on design and piecing from one corner in class. All techniques will be covered.
