Art Bowls – Art in three dimensions! Personalise with different fabrics and designs to create stunning centrepieces or decorative containers. Big, small, modern, or classic – endless creative possibilities!

Rope Bowls – The perfect marriage of utility and aesthetics. Learn innovative coiling and wrapping techniques to create practical containers.

Both projects are fun, easy to make, and guaranteed to spark creativity. Warning: after making your first bowl, it will be hard to stop!

CLASS REQUIREMENTS

Bowl a-Palooza with Cecilia Koppmann

One-day Class: Sunday, April 12

Class times:  9am to 5pm

Materials fee: $30 for the base of the bowl, ropes, and leather. Please have the exact amount in cash in an envelope with your name on it.

You will need to bring:

For Art Bowls:

  • Rotary cutter
  • Cutting mat
  • Ruler
  • Fabric scissors
  • Pins
  • Glue stick
  • Pen or chalk pen to mark your fabric
  • 1 metre of ‘Heat’n Bond’ type double-sided thermo-adhesive material.
  • Variety of patchwork fabrics
  • Thread for quilting and binding in a colour you like with your fabrics

For Rope Bowls:

  • ¾” Strips of fabrics
  • Scissors
  • Awl (optional but very convenient)
  • Neutral sewing thread
  • Sewing thread colour natural

Sewing machines will be provided. If you want to bring your own, please ensure it has a foot suitable for zigzag.
