Rice Bags – Wool Appliqued & Embroidered
TUTOR: WENDY WILLIAMS
Choose from either the vivid Flower Garden design or the funky Birds & Bee design.
During the class you’ll learn all about techniques and materials for wool applique – the best threads, needles and Wendy’s tips for getting a neat professional finish on your work in the easiest way possible.
You’ll also learn embroidery stitches – the basics and some more adventurous textural stitches and gain knowledge of the best threads to use to create different effects. Explore thread types and discover the best situations for different threads.
Both designs make a delightful rice bag, fully lined and finished with fabric loops and silky cord. What an amazing gift for a friend or a mini holdall for yourself.
Skill level: suits all levels.
