Lisa Mattock’s projects are about seeking out reclaimed and vintage textile treasures and upcycling them into beautiful pieces that speak to the soul of the stitcher. A lifelong hand stitcher, and pioneer of the Slow Stitching movement, Lisa has had a passion for discovering and collecting reclaimed fabrics and embellishments since childhood. Her signature style of creating intricate layered textile artworks has been featured in magazines and shows in Australia and overseas, with regular teaching tours to the USA, France and the UK. Lisa and her business partner operate the Forage Studios in Sydney, Australia where they combine beautiful new, vintage and heirloom textiles to create unique stitching projects.
