Jewellery Roll & Huswif – applique projects

TUTOR: MEGAN MANWARING

A contemporary take on the huswif.

Inspired by the Huswifs of yester-year, Megan designed a jewellery roll for travel as a gift to her daughter, which in addition to being well used, prompted lovely hints from Lulu’s friends for their own. Megan happily obliged and she will teach you how to make your own. Megan has also made a sewing huswif in a similar style specially for AQC for the enthusiastic participants. Both items would make special gifts or be handy for their own travels.

Skill level: suits all levels

The workshop will cover hand applique, Kantha style hand quilting and then machine piecing the components to make the jewellery roll and sewing huswif. Participants will have a plenty of choice of applique blocks to make.

Participants can expect to finish one of the jewellery roll or sewing huswif and may make progress on the second item.
