Thursday Evening Lecture with
AQC tutor Joe Cunningham:
My Life in Quilts

In Joe’s words: “People always want to know how and why I got started making quilts. In this talk I explain how it happened to me, and how it could happen to anybody! I’ll bring my guitar and play some quilt-related songs, and I’ll bring a whole bunch of my latest quilts to show and tell stories about.”

Joe started quilting in 1979 and has been teaching, writing and talking about quilts ever since. Of his 12 books on the subject the most recent is ‘Men and the Art of Quiltmaking’. Having been immersed in the study of traditional quilts and techniques when he began, his style now is eccentric, unique and personal. Joe’s quilts are in the collections of major museums and corporations.
