  1. Decide which Package you will take up: Gold Pass (with option to add a Dinner Guest); Two Day (Thursday-Friday); Two Day (Saturday-Sunday); or Social Events. Read about the Package fees and inclusions here.

  2. Decide which social events you will attend. You must book your place in the social events, even if they are included in your chosen package.

  3. Choose your classes (and a second option in case it is full already) and have your credit card handy. Visa and Mastercard only are accepted.

  1. Ensure you have read and understood the Class Booking Conditions before commencing your online booking.

  2. Click on the BOOK AQC CLASSES button at the top right of the website. Complete your details then follow the prompts to select your classes and make your payment. You can book a friend at the same time if you wish* (read information below regarding how to book a friend).

  3. Call the AQC team on 02 9452 7575 if you need assistance.

Top Tips for Booking

  • Some classes book out VERY quickly, so make sure you have decided on your package, your classes (plus a second preference in case your first is booked out), and your social events BEFORE you start your booking.

  • Your credit card may need a passcode to be used online. Banks have increased their security, in order to protect their customers. Please check with your bank beforehand to ensure your card is verified for online shopping and that your credit limit will not be exceeded.

  • A booking fee of $7.50 applies to all bookings.

  • Bookings cannot be held without payment. Confirmations are subject to available funds on your credit card. If your card payment is not able to be processed, your place in the class cannot be held.

  • Each person you are booking will need a separate email address to book via the online booking system. If you are completing an additional registration for a friend please note:

    • They CANNOT use your email address

    • If they don’t have an email address you can enter a dummy email address for them in the following format: firstnamelastname@noemail.com (ie. jill.quilter@noemail.com)

    • The ‘primary registrant’ for the application (YOU) will receive all email confirmations for all bookings in the order.

FAQs About The Classes

Why are the classes in packages?

The AQC classes are part of a convention and are available to Convention Delegates only. Class packages include social events, catering and a number of inclusions. If you only want to attend AQC as a day visitor you can buy a ticket to the Expo and Quilt Show – there will be a full program of free workshops and short classes, and you can attend social events. The Expo program will be released in February, 2017.

Can I pay by cheque?

You can pay by cheque, but you will need to make a phone booking. Please have several class preferences chosen. Your class place cannot be confirmed until your payment is received.

What do I need to bring?

Some classes include a kit of all or some materials required in the class. The class description includes mention of any kit/materials fee. If there is a kit, you will need to pay the kit fee directly to the tutor. Most classes will require the student to bring specific supplies with them. The requirements list for each class will be posted on the website.

If you do not have access to the internet, call us to request your class requirements lists.

Do I need to bring a sewing machine?

In classes where machines are required, sponsor companies will provide them so you do not have to bring your own sewing machine. A technical assistant will be available in class to help you. You may bring your own machine if you choose but no technical assistance will be available.

AQC Booking Conditions

  • Payment of fees must accompany all bookings otherwise the booking cannot be processed.

  • To take advantage of any early bird rate, bookings must be made before November 30, 2016.

  • We understand that sometimes circumstances will arise which mean you will be unable to attend AQC. However we are unable to refund any fees if you or a family member falls ill or suffers misadventure within one month of AQC.

    Cancellations received in writing before March 20, 2017 will receive a 75 per cent refund. After this date there will be no refunds. All notification of cancellation must be forwarded to Expertise Events in writing. You may like to consider travel insurance in case unforeseen circumstances arise.

  • In the case of cancellation, please note that substitutions of the delegate may be accepted in lieu of a cancellation, at the discretion of Expertise Events but, due to limited class numbers, class selection changes cannot be made.

  • In the event of a tutor cancellation due to illness or other unforeseen circumstance, the tutor will be replaced and no refunds will be available in this instance.

  • We recommend you consider taking out travel insurance to cover you in case you need to cancel your Delegate Package.

  • No refunds are available for the Welcome Cocktail Party, Gala Dinner or Lectures on Thursday and Friday evenings.
