Update: October 3, 2017: the trip is proceeding as planned and none of the buildings for the Quilters of Mexico event were affected by the recent earthquake which was outside Mexico City. If you are wondering about whether it is appropriate to travel to Mexico at present, this interesting article gives some perspectives.

As part of the AQC Challenge quilt exchange we’ve organised a trip to Mexico!

After an idea was sparked at AQC this year, we started thinking about how much we’d love to go to Mexico and take some keen quilters with us. We are taking the AQC Challenge quilts to the Patchwork & Quilt Expo in Mexico City, and we’ve put together this trip hoping you will join us.

For a few months now, we’ve been working hard to bring you a special offer at an incredible price. This will be an amazing trip visiting Mexico City, the capital of the Aztec empire. Included is entry to the Patchwork & Quilt Expo, sightseeing around Mexico City, tours to local art and craft markets and a stopover in Dallas, Texas. The fantastic price of $3755 for 9 nights includes all accommodation, breakfasts, hotel transfers and three-day entry to the quilt expo.

If you are solo, don’t worry, we’ll match you up with a buddy as the costs are based on twin share, and you’ll be with people who share your passion for quilting. Get in quick to secure your place and to make sure this trip happens; this amazing price is subject to achieving minimum numbers. Departs Sydney, February 13, 2018.
