CALL FOR ENTRIES: The 2018 AQC Challenge theme is ‘Borders & Bridges’

 

This prestigious annual quilt challenge attracts entries from around Australia, New Zealand and beyond, and we want you to get stitching with this year’s theme in mind. Three cash prizes will be awarded, presented by Expertise Events:

  • FIRST PRIZE: $3,500
  • RUNNER-UP: $1,500
  • VIEWERS’ CHOICE: $500

PLUS, you could also have your quilt displayed at the 2018 Australasian Quilt Convention in Melbourne, at Craft & Quilt Fairs around Australia and New Zealand. Prizes will be awarded based on the interpretation of theme, excellence in design and craftsmanship. And there is a Viewers’ Choice award, voted for at AQC.

  • Online entries close February 2, 2018
  • Quilts must be 90cm square and original in design
  • There is no entry fee for the challenge
  • Juried entrants will be notified – please do not send in your quilt entry unless notified
  • The finalist quilts will be selected from these juried entrants
